Exercise in the Workplace, for a Happier and Healthier You!

We are pleased to announce the first installment of the UP Manila Wellness Wednesdays Project, a webinar entitled “Exercise in the Workplace, for a Happier and Healthier You!” has been a huge success because of you!

Prof. John Guiller Realin of the CAS Department of Physical Education spoke about the fundamentals of fitness and living an active lifestyle. He also talked about how we can incorporate fitness into our daily life. 

Key takeaways: 

  1. Reduce sitting time for a healthier you. Physical activity helps to reduce sitting time, and prolonged sitting time raises your chance of developing chronic diseases. 
     
  2. Individualize your exercise experience for a happier you. There is no single exercise kind, frequency, intensity, or time that is appropriate for everyone. Every person is unique since they each have their own preferences and vary in terms of their needs, work demands, and priorities.
     
  3. Keep on moving!
